Inviting & Onboarding Users
Onboarding is invitation-based, administrators never set a teammate's password. The account is created immediately with a random password the user never sees; the invitee sets their own via a single-use link.
Inviting
- Users → Invite User.
- Enter name and email; choose a role (User, Approver, Release Manager, Admin).
- Send invite, the account is provisioned at once.
With mail delivery configured, the invitee is emailed a branded "set your password" link. Without it, the link is shown in the dialog to distribute out of band. Setup links are single-use, 48-hour expiry; re-invite to reissue.
Invitee Flow
The link opens Set your password (minimum 8 characters); the user is then routed to login and signs in with email + chosen password. No temporary password is ever transmitted.
Roles
The invitation-time role governs capability and is mutable later from the Users list. See the role matrix in the Manager Tool Overview.
Each user card shows when that account last signed in (hover for the exact timestamp). Never signed in marks a pending invite that has not been accepted yet, which is the cue to resend it.
Mail Delivery
Welcome mail routes through the deployment's configured sender. Self-hosted installs without a sender remain fully functional, the administrator delivers the setup link manually from the invite dialog.
